CONSULTATION / design process

This is when you can meet with an artist, talk about your ideas, get a quote and set a date to have your tattoo done.  There is no fee for a consultation but we will ask for a deposit if you would like to go ahead with the tattoo.  Your artist will work on the design closer to the appointment date and try to send it a few days before for you to review.  You are welcome to stop by anytime for a general consultation, but if you would like to meet with a specific artist, we require an appointment.

DEPOSIT / RESCHEDULING

If you would like to make an appointment, we require a cash deposit between $50-100, depending on the artist and the size of the tattoo.  This deposit is non-refundable.

The deposit will be taken off of the total of your tattoo.  For multiple session pieces, it will come off of the final session.  If a design is done but you decide not to go ahead with it, it is considered a design fee.

We require 48 hours notice if you need to reschedule your appointment, otherwise the deposit will be forfeited.

PREPARING FOR YOUR APPOINTMENT

Get a good rest, drink lots of water and avoid alcohol the night before your appointment.  Be sure to eat before coming in and bring food and drinks to snack on throughout the day for longer sessions.

Plan for Toronto traffic and try to arrive on time to avoid cutting into your appointment time.  There is no parking on Bathurst St. between 4-6pm so add extra time if you need to find parking.

Wear loose, clean, comfortable clothing.  It may help to bring along a scarf or small blanket.  A book or headphones often help people relax and take their mind off of the pain.

You are welcome to bring friends along, but we ask that no more than 1 joins you in the tattooing space.

Trust your artist and enjoy the experience!

AFTERCARE

The outcome of your tattoo depends on many factors, including how you take care of it!  Please protect your new piece of art.

After 2-4 hours, remove the bandage and wash gently with warm water and a mild, unscented soap.

Let it dry and apply a thin layer of aftercare lotion (must be water-based and unscented) and repeat this 2-3 times a day until it is fully healed.

Showering is fine but avoid hot water and excessive sweating for the first few days.  Do not submerge your tattoo in water (baths, saunas, pools, lakes, etc) and avoid sunlight during healing.  Your tattoo needs to breathe.   Do no rewrap and avoid tight clothing.

After a few days, your tattoo may start to flake and become itchy.  Continue to moisturize and do not pick or scratch.

If you notice redness and/or swelling around the tattoo, fever or any other signs of infection, please let us know and see your doctor.

Sunlight will cause fading so it is important to use an SPF 30+ and continue to moisturize your tattoo for long-term aftercare.

walk ins?

We do walk ins!  Some of our artists do walk ins and others do not.  If you are hoping to work with a specific artist, it is best to make an appointment.  But give us a call and we can let you know if someone is available that day!

PAYMENT METHODS

We accept cash, debit and major credit cards.  Deposits are cash only.    E-transfers or PayPal for deposits may be arranged in special circumstances.

UNDER 18?

We do not tattoo anyone under the age of 18, even with parental consent.  There are no exceptions.  Photo ID is required.

WILL IT HURT?

The answer is different for everyone and pain is relative.  You definitely will feel it and some areas can be more painful than others.  It helps to be prepared and comfortable, so make sure to read our 'how to prepare' section.
