When Khan J. first opened his tattoo studio in the Hongdae Art Centre of Seoul, tattooing was an underground and stigmatized industry.

Despite tattoos remaining an illegal trade in South Korea to this day, Khan was able to find success pursuing his art form with like-minded friends and colleagues.

Upon opening a second studio in his hometown, the City of Busan, Khan met his wife Jaclyn, and the two have since been partners in business, art, and family.

Once they moved to Canada, Jaclyn’s home country, the two opened their third studio location, TATTOO PEOPLE TORONTO in 2014.

Since its establishment, the Toronto branch has been home to many artists from all over the world.

With its diverse history, TATTOO PEOPLE TORONTO is recognized for its ability to capture the harmony between modern and traditional Korean culture.
